Swiftwater Adventures was founded through a collaboration of experienced whitewater guides. With all of us having guided for many years on the St. Louis River (and beyond), we saw and experienced the gauntlet of whitewater adventures and misadventures. From guiding hundreds of trips and thousands of people over the years, we saw joy and pain, happiness and frustration, jubilation and stress. We wanted to accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative, but we needed to be free to run things our way. We formed Swiftwater Adventures to focus on fun and safety while increasing excitement and interaction with participants. From booking your trip to checking in and especially your time on the river, our goal is to deliver a positive experience. Today, our trip leaders have over 50 years of experience guiding whitewater rafting and kayaking trips on the St. Louis River near Duluth, Minnesota.
